Monoprinting's Full Profile
You finger-painted away during your childhood. After that, most of your artistic expressionism includes doodles of bosses, neighbors, and your bosses and neighbors as vegetables. Join Gowanus Print Lab in trying a new form of self-expression, a form imbued with experimentation and one-of-a-kind artistry, known as monoprinting -- a form of printmaking that has images or lines that can only be made once (most types of printmaking has multiple originals). Using anything from charcoal to artist crayons, pastels or watercolors, you will learn the basic techniques to create a one-of-a-kind monotype print. Express yourself and create a unique, spontaneous, uneditionable piece of art!Note: All printing supplies included except for paper - you must provide your own. Feel free to bring additional materials to incorporate in your work.
