Overview

Southern California Seminary says

SCS is a private institution of higher education dedicated to teaching from the inerrant Word of God. Here you will learn about God from His book--the Bible. As a ministry of Shadow Mountain Community Church, under the leadership of Dr. David Jeremiah, SCS offers the highest quality of biblical education with a tuition that is refreshingly affordable.

As a student, you will find yourself taking classes alongside pastors, worship leaders, missionaries, counselors, young Christians, and mature Christians alike. Here at SCS, we take great privilege in training future pastors, missionaries, laypersons, Christian counselors, therapists and psychologists for effective and biblical ministries. While strongly academic, an education from SCS is for anyone wanting to know more about God, and to study the Scriptures daily. SCS is for the Christian that loves the Lord, and desires to know Him more deeply and intimately.

SCS offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of theology and psychology. Degrees offered are: the Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies (AABS), Bachelor of Arts Biblical Studies (BABS), the Master of Religious Studies (MRS) the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.)

Southern California Seminary is located in El Cajon, less than one half-hour east of San Diego. SCS is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). The mission of Southern California Seminary is to bring glory to God by assisting local churches to equip believers of various cultures and languages to live and minister biblically based on the inerrant Word of God. This equipping includes building biblical knowledge, Christian character, and ministry skills--all at modest tuition.
