Johnson & Wales University-North Miami says
For more than 95 years, Johnson & Wales University has been providing students like you with the roadmap to help make your career happen. Our pioneering educational model of combining academics, hands-on training, work experience tied to a field of study, leadership opportunities and career development has made JWU a recognized leader in career education.
Established in 1992, the North Miami Campus has grown to include 2,098 students from 45 states and 55 countries, enrolled in our College of Business, College of Culinary Arts and The Hospitality College.
Our industry-experienced faculty bring real-life experience, hands-on learning and networking opportunities into small classroom settings, where you'll build job-ready knowledge and skills.
At JWU, you'll take courses in your major from your first term, so you'll know right away if the field is right for you. In addition, a dedicated student career advisor and faculty advisor will help you develop a career plan to further your goals. Through our specialized career courses, you'll hone your resume, build a portfolio and work on your interview skills.
Our campus is located in the city of North Miami, one of 10 communities named an "All-America City" in 2010 by the National Civic League. And we're situated along the travel-tourism and business hub that runs between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Between our range of student-led clubs and organizations, student government, special events and leadership programs, there are many ways to get involved on campus. We also offer varsity and intramural athletics, a workout facility with pool and organized road trips to theatre, events and Miami Heat and Dolphins games in the greater Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.
More than 85,000 JWU alumni from 140 countries have launched successful careers. To find out more, check out our alumni profiles.
