Lorine Potts-Dupre's Full Profile
Lori Potts-Dupre grew up in the D.C. metorpolitan area and attended local public schools. She earned the B.S. and M.Ed. degrees at the University of California, Davis, in Applied Behavioral Sciences, and coordinated programs at the Teaching Resources Center on that campus for several years. Lori entered the Ph.D. program in higher education at the University of Maryland, College Park after returning to the D.C. area in the mid-1980's. Upon completion of the program she was appointed Faculty Research Associate at the National Center for Postsecondary Governance and Finance. She also coordinated admissions for the Key and Banneker programs at College Park, and taught undergraduate education courses in the honors program. Lori opened her college consulting practice in Takoma Park, Md in 1997. Since then she has visited and evaluated over 350 college campuses, and continually strives to upadtae her knowledge and expertise. She has counseled and advised hundreds of public and independent high school students in the metro area through all stages of the college selection process. Her specialties include working with diverse populations and academically talented students.
