Step 1: Pour into blender Pour the rum, cr?me of coconut, and fresh pineapple into the blender. Tip 3 oz. of canned pineapple will work just as well, but rinse it in cold water first to get rid of that canned flavor. If you're really desperate, use pineapple juice. Step 2: Blend Add the ice and blend on high for about 15 seconds, or until you don't hear the ice cubes rattling anymore. Your drink should look smooth and creamy. Step 3: Pour into glass Pour the drink into the glass. Tip For some added zing, float a half a shot of dark rum or a fruit liqueur into your drink by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon. Step 4: Garnish Garnish with a Maraschino cherry, pineapple slice, and—for the full tropical effect—a tiny paper umbrella. Did You Know?
