Step 1: Fill glass w/ ice & water Fill the glass with ice and water and set it aside to chill. Step 2: Add ice to blender Add one cup of ice to the blender. Tip Crush the ice before you begin for a smoother drink. Step 3: Add fresh fruit Add 1/2 a cup of fresh fruit. Step 4: Add rum, lime juice, sugar, & liqueur Add 2 ounces of light rum, add 1 ounce of lime juice, pour in 1 teaspoon of sugar, and add 1 ounce of fruit liqueur of your choice. Tip Experiment with using honey or powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar for a drink that's a little more tart than sweet. Step 5: Blend Blend on medium speed for about 15 seconds or until smooth. Step 6: Empty glass Empty the cocktail glass. Step 7: Pour, garnish, & serve Pour the drink into the now chilled glass, add a piece of fruit for garnish, add the straw, and serve. Did You Know? The frozen daiquiri originated in Havana, Cuba's La Florida bar, affectionately called La Floridita, a favorite haunt of Ernest Hemingway.
