An impromptu presentation I gave by request at the HBCU Faculty Development Network conference (2010), in which I discussed the incorporation of CLA-style Performance Tasks at Fayetteville State University to assess and improve student's Critical Thinking Skills. I cover the basics of the CLA approach, how it can be used for university-wide and program level assessment in multiple ways, and how FSU had built it into their new Quality Enhancement Plan.I was asked to speak about these matters, since I was involved in the development of the QEP, first as a subject matter expert, then as a co-writer. I had also coordinated the development, execution, and reporting of the 2010 Rising Junior (Spring) and Entering Freshmen (Fall) CLA-style assessments. This footage was originally broken into several YouTube videos, then reassembled with the YouTube Video Editor.
