@Google talks welcomed Anne Vick to speak at Google New York on July 23, 2007. Anne Vick is a volunteer presenter, recently trained by Al Gore and The Climate Project, on the science of global warming. She holds a Masters in Polar Studies from Cambridge University and has spent a total of over six years in the Arctic and Antarctic working for the US Arctic and Antarctic research programs. She just finished working as a fundraiser in New York City to begin monitoring endangered desert tortoises in Nevada. Global Warming: Answering the Call is a 60 minute presentation that will explain the science of global warming and its causes. It will examine the crisis global warming poses to people and the planet and what participants can do to reduce their carbon footprint and stop global warming. The presentation is intended to educate Googlers about the situation using the most up-to-date research available.
