Rethinking Influenza Vaccines: Nick Kelley at TEDxUMN

Nicholas Kelley is a research associate at the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota ( His research focuses on preparing for and responding to public health emergencies, such as bioterrorism or pandemic influenza. Effective, timely, and widely available influenza vaccines are a key goal of pandemic influenza preparedness globally. He is passionate about seeing this goal fulfilled over the coming years. Dr. Kelley has a bachelor's degree in biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and master's and doctoral degrees in environmental health from the University of Minnesota.----The individuals involved with TEDxUMN have a passion for bringing together the great thinkers at the University of Minnesota and giving them the opportunity to share their ideas worth spreading and to discuss our shared future. We provide these great people the opportunity to share these ideas on a global stage and with an incredibly diverse audience.
