Nora AminWriter, performer and theatre director working internationally since 2000. Taught acting academically in the USA as well as comparative literature in Germany. Co-founder of the first Egyptian academic department for arts management and cultural animation at the Academy of Arts. Instructed several theatre workshops and gave theatre performances worldwide. Fellow of the John F. Kennedy Center for the performing arts in Washington DC, recipient of an Ibsen scholarship from Norway, announced by the British Council as the Egyptian international cultural leader in the performing arts. Certified "theatre of the oppressed" trainer from Augusto Boal center in Brazil and founder of the "Egyptian Project of Theatre of the Oppressed"The Egyptian Project of Theatre of the OppressedAn initiative based on the method of theatre of the oppressed by Augusto Boal, more specifically Forum theatre technique. Presenting theatre performances that include an oppressor and an oppressed characters in an interactive style that invites the spectator to step in and suggest a solution to the oppression or a better way of conflict management. The The spectators' participation and intervention is considered like a training for positive thinking and creativity that is supposed to be taken back to reality allowing the audience to explore their creative thinking potential and to confront their daily oppression without violence nor metaphysical solutions
