Share It! Publishing Student Work Online: Michele Nokleby at TEDxMCPSTeachers

Michele Nokleby has been a school librarian for more than 20 years and currently promotes reading and literacy through her position at Hawthorne Elementary in Missoula, Mont. She has embraced the changes that the information era has brought to her profession and integrates technology and social media into exciting learning opportunities for students and dynamic instructional opportunities for teachers. A proud Missoula native, Michele and her husband Conrad have raised two children of their own as well as assorted "strays" that have come into their lives. In her leisure time she enjoys moonlighting as a free-lance costumer for theater productions. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
