When Technology Turns Toxic: Katherine Didier at TEDxMCPSTeachers

Katie Didier graduated from Big Sky High School in Missoula, Mont., in 2012 and plans to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. During her four years at Big Sky, she has been a member of the tennis team, varsity cheerleading squad, Respect Club and Key Club. In 2011 she was crowned Miss Teen Montana International. Katie has made it her mission to put an end to cyber bullying in the Missoula community by starting a media campaign called "Stop Cyberbullying Missoula" to promote education and awareness of cyberbullying. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
