Owen Hunnam founded Vine magazine from his bedroom, aged 21, after dropping out of university in 2007. The business has since expanded rapidly into a full-service communications agency. Owen has been nominated for a string of national business awards and was the Kent Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2009 and 2011. He now employs a team of 12 people, all of whom are under the age of 30.Owen takes us through his journey as he launched a now very successful local magazine from his bedroom having dropped out of university.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
