She has previously worked as a Hospice Nurse, helping people with terminal illness to die gracefully and in peace. She has taken the lessons she's learned from death and dying and now empowers others to become conscious creators of their lives. She is deeply committed to whole-hearted living, where emotional freedom and vulnerability are honored and celebrated. Alia integrates her background in traditional medicine with her passion for indigenous healing. Alia has developed a client base spanning five continents, a testament to the limitless breadth of her spiritual and emotional guidance. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
