Benjamin (Yong Bum) Joe is a Strategist in Global Customer Marketing at Facebook. He leads strategic marketing initiatives for world's top technology brands and e-commerce companies with a focus in enabling social commerce.Prior to Facebook, Ben spent several years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company's Silicon Valley office. In this role he advised technology companies in strategy, sales & marketing and organization topics.Ben has also worked at IBM for six years as a manager in sales and business development in Asia. He was responsible for leading teams of product and service specialists to win-back major clients and managing optimization of strategic partnerships with distributors, ISVs and service providers.Prior to IBM, Ben was an entrepreneur and co-founded an online retail company that was later acquired by AuctionWeb, later Gmarket.Ben holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was an active member of the TechMedia and Entrepreneurship Club.
