TEDxEvanston - David Figlio - How Do I Know If My Child's School Is Any Good?

David Figlio is Orrington Lunt Professor of Education, Social Policy and Economics and Associate Director of the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research on school accountability, vouchers, and other education policies has been published in numerous leading journals. He has advised the U.S. Congress, the European Commission, twelve countries and six states on the implementation and design of education policies.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
