TEDxSanJoseCA 2012- Eugene Cordero - How Burritos Changed The Way I Think About Climate Science

A climate scientist and Google Science Communication Fellow who works at San Jose State University (SJSU), Eugene Cordero is passionate about what he calls "science that matters to society." Cordero's aim is to reduce annual carbon emissions by 1 million tons using the power of a climate-action superhero called the Green Ninja. The Green Ninja comes to life in a series of videos and social media tools designed to educate and inspire action to reduce our carbon footprint. Cordero is also co-author of the book Cool Cuisine: Taking the Bite out of Global Warming.http://www.greenninja.org/In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, Where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
