Alongside her work in microfluidics as a Pratt Undergraduate Research Fellow, Katrina enjoys dancing ballet, and is heavily involved in studio courses and performances within the Duke Dance Department. She was awarded a student dance department grant for her project and presentation Fouette Turns and Fourier Series: The Intersection of Ballet and Engineering", and has been collaborating with the Durham Museum of Life and Sciences in the creation of their educational programming."About TEDx:In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
