TEDxCharlotteED - Barbara Pellin - Wraparound Services Bringing Hope

Barbara Pellin is a former Assistant Superintendent with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and currently serves in the Mecklenburg County Manager's office for projects and community initiatives. In this talk, she tells the story of the Reid Park Academy initiative. Starting with a principal's vision and bold leadership, this innovative System of Care process seeks to transform the lives of students by combining wraparound services, resources, and partnerships. (Filmed and produced by Central Piedmont Community College Digital Media Services.)In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
