A Day in the Life of a Day: Jimmy Soni at TEDxDuke
A Day in the Life of a Day Jimmy Soni is currently the Managing Editor of the Huffington Post. Before this he worked as Chief of Staff to Arianna Huffington, the President and Editor-in-Chief of the Huffington Post Media Group. Prior to that, he was a speechwriter and policy aide in Washington, DC. He is the co-author, along with Rob Goodman, of a forthcoming biography titled Rome's Last Citizen: The Life and Legacy of Cato. The book traces the life of the ancient Roman Senator Cato, Julius Caesar's arch nemesis. The book is set for publication in October from St. Marten's-MacMillan Press. Jimmy graduated from Duke in 2007 with a self-designed Program II major. At Duke, he was the Chairman of the Honor Council as well as Vice-President of Duke Student Government. He studied at Duke by way of the University Scholarship and did graduate work in Ireland by way of the George Mitchell Scholarship.About TEDx:In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
