The All American Home is a placeholder for the idea that Americans have the ability to dramatically improve social, environmental, and economic issues in our country and around the world. ?The All American Home proves how easy it is to reallocate some of our spending from foreign to domestic products while receiving an equal or better value for our investment. ?If every American family reallocated just 5% of their spending to US made or local products, we would create over three million new jobs and substantially reduce pollution around the world.Anders Lewendal moved to Bozeman in 1991 and owns Anders Lewendal?Construction, Inc.? Anders became involved in sustainability in the?early 1980′s working for a large commercial recycling company and then?composting for the City of San Francisco after receiving a degree in economics at UCSB.?Anders continues to study and?produce safe, efficient, and affordable homes in Bozeman.?Anders lives in the only 100 year old Energy Star certified home in America. ?His latest project is building the first documented home in American built entirely with products predominately produced in the USA.About TEDx, x = independently organized eventIn the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
