Tom is close friend of Jamie Oliver's from their early days at the River Cafe in London, and Jamie asked Tom to cook at his wedding. Tom's other private clients include A list celebrities and royalty. Tom's fifth book "Fish Tales" won the Gourmand Award for Best Sustainable book in 2010. "Fish & Co", his sustainable seafood cafe, was voted the best fish & chips in Sydney. Tom is a passionate spokesman for sustainable seafood.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
