Dr. Tara Shears - TEDxManchester - The God in Small Things

One of our delegates, @SteffiLW, tweeted upon seeing Tara Shears' talk that Tara had made "physics interesting for the first time since I was 12". Well put! We first met Tara when she spoke @ThinkingDigital in 2009. She's been described as the "female Brian Cox" in that she's another brilliant communicator of physics. Here she tells us about the significance of the Higgs particle and the latest progress by the Large Hadron Collider in providing evidence of its existence. TEDxManchester is operated under license from TED Conferences LLC. @herbkim has been the license holder of TEDxManchester since 2009. The 2012 edition of #TEDxMCR was co-curated with Isabelle Croissant of Cornerhouse.
