TEDxCornellUniversity - Jesse Turk - That Guy From High School: Exposing Gay Bullying Today

Jesse is an undergraduate sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences double-majoring in Psychology and Theatre Arts and Sciences with a minor in Law and Society. Besides his studies he is heavily involved in the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts both through acting and directing shows as well as having a seat on the Performance and Events Committee and as Vice President of the Schwartz Ambassadors. He hopes to utilize his artistic endeavors in the performing arts to affect change in society and hopes to innovate new and creative ways to make theater an accessible and meaningful as well as entertaining art for the general public. In addition to this Jesse is a Campus Entrepreneurial Intern for Hillel and is a proud brother of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
