EyeNetra develops mobile phone eye diagnostics that measures the correction of users' vision. The first device is called NETRA, consisting of a low cost i.e. less than $10 clip on eyepiece that attaches to a smart phone and allows the user to take a simple and quick eye test for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. At the end of the 3 minute test, users receive data for a glasses prescription. Once the first product has been validated, EyeNetra plans to develop a suite of eye diagnostics for cataracts and retinal conditions that integrate on a cloud; based platform that brokers new business between patients and providers and vendors eg hospitals, doctors, eyeglass stores, pharmaceuticals, and more.--- In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)http://www.tedxgateway.com
