About the speaker: George Kourounis is a global adventurer, explorer and storm chaser who travels the world with his cameras, documenting the most extreme forces of nature and natural disasters. His television series, Angry Planet has been broadcast in over 100 countries and he is often a contributor to TV networks and news agencies, commenting on all aspects of extreme environments and weather. In addition to chasing tornadoes and hurricanes, George also dives with sharks, explores caves, and even got married on the crater's edge of an exploding volcano in the South Pacific. When not traveling, George is based in Toronto. About TEDx: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
