TEDxUCR-Eric Schwitzgebel-The Crazyist Metaphysics of Mind

Eric Schwitzgebel is a Professor of Philosophy at U.C. Riverside and author of Perplexities of Consciousness (MIT Press, 2011), and, with Russell T. Hurlburt, Describing Inner Experience? Proponent Meets Skeptic (MIT Press, 2007). He has written extensively on belief, self-knowledge, consciousness, and the moral behavior of ethics professors. His research has been featured on the Discovery Channel, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and many other national and international media outlets. His blog, "The Splintered Mind" (established 2006), is among the leading solo-authored philosophy blogs. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
