TEDxNTU - Richard Hartung - My serendipitous road to writing

Richard is a consultant and payments professional who on works with financial services companies on payments strategy, operations enhancement, merchant acquiring, risk management and market entry. Along his work in consulting, Richard is a freelance writer who regularly blogs for the Singapore International Foundation's Kopitiam, writes commentary for Today newspaper, serves as the Asia Bureau Chief for gtnews and writes regularly for water publication OOSKAnews as well as the European Financial Marketing Association.He currently serves as president of the Stanford Club of Singapore, treasurer for the Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore), treasurer of the American Club of Singapore and a volunteer in microfinance for Bankers with Vision. In this talk he shares his experiences on becoming a writer.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
