TEDxJacksonHole - David Gonzales - Fighting for the Trees

David Gonzales is a local writer, photographer, filmmaker who is well known for his book on the history of skiing: Jackson Hole -- On a Grand Scale. He founded TreeFight, an initiative to inform the public of the plight of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem's whitebark pines and to search for solutions to prevent their extinction. TreeFight is an initiative to inform the public of the plight of the GYE's whitebark pines, and to search for solutions to prevent their extinction. TreeFight is administered by David Gonzales, who appreciates the support of Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton National Park, GEO/Graphics Inc, and all donors and TreeFighters.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
