TEDxOmaha - Magda Peck - Lighting Shamashim for Community Good

Dr. Magda Peck demonstrates the ability we have to affect social change, one person at a time, and without expecting results. Dr. Magda Peck is Founding Dean of the UWM School of Public Health, and she was Associate Dean for Community Engagement and Public Health Practice, College of Public Health, University of Nebraska Medical Center at the time of this video. TEDxOmaha 2011 was generously underwritten by Creighton University College of Business and The Apogee Group. It was produced by REBEL INTERACTIVE. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
