TEDxSpartanburg - Betsy Fleming - "Why I love Art"

Since 2005, Betsy Fleming has served as President of Converse College in her hometown of Spartanburg. Betsy's passion for learning led her to pursue degrees from Harvard, Yale, and the Royal College of Art in London. She was Executive Director of the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, and has worked with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Collection, Yale University Art Gallery, J. Paul Getty Trust, and Victoria and Albert Museum. Her work and service reflect a passion for advancing women and girls, education, and the arts. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
