Hydraulic Fracturing in Northeastern BC: An Illustration of the Duality of Technology Caleb Behn is Eh Cho Dene and Dunne Za from the Treaty 8 territory of northeastern BC. Caleb is a member of the Canadian Environmental Network, acting as Chair of the 'Indigenous Circle'. In addition to entering his final year of study at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law Caleb is currently working with a team of young directors shooting a documentary film focused on the impact of hydraulic fracturing in northeastern BC. Caleb came to UVic Law and began work in this film as a direct result of working with the oil and gas industry in northeastern BC on behalf of his home communities, the West Moberly and Saulteaux First Nations. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
