TEDxEastEnd - Karl Sharro - Rediscovering the joy of humanity

Karl Sharro is an Architect, Writer and Commentator on the Middle East. He is the co-author of the architectural manifesto Towards a New Humanism in Architecture and Senior Associate Partner at PLP Architecture in London. He has practiced architecture in London and Beirut, and previously taught at the Department of Architecture at the American University of Beirut. Karl has written for a number of international publications and has spoken on a range of issues such as art, architecture, urbanism and Middle East politics. He believes passionately in open borders and the role of innovation in dealing with the challenges that humanity faces.
