TEDxHamburg Salon 22. August 2011 - Dr. Anne Schnieber - Making healthcare transparent

Making healthcare transparent - how numbers can help us improve. Our health care system is one of the best in the world. Yet it remains an emotionally charged and prominent subject. Numbers in expenditure and medical failures are often abused for political agendas. To change this process, one has to confront the facts: expenses, the surplus of expenditures, the behavior of the system. Dr. Anne Schnieber will highlight transparency of numbers, supported by examples of various countries in which this process was successfully established.About TEDx:In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
