TEDxUSC - Jose Antonio Rosa - Hope and Innovation Among the Next Four Billion

Psychologist Jose Antonio Rosa seeks to understand innovation in its purest form. In his research, he lived amongst the four billion people who sustain on less than $2 a day, communities we know little about, and witnessed the way these people make being innovative, experimental, and creative a way of life and incorporate modern market practices into the business of scavenging, whether its testing products or coming up with guarantees. Rosa explains where hope, healthy delusion, and creative deviance come into play when innovating by hand. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
