TEDxCalgary - Janice Tanton Iniskimaki - The Language of the Creator

Janice Tanton speaks from the soul of an artist, mom, and full time human being. In this heartfelt talk, she shares her exploration of the creative spirit through her native heritage and the many people she has brought together through art and music. Painter, actor, musician, filmmaker and graphic designer, the common thread that binds Tanton's art is a devotion to human beings and connecting cultures and people of different backgrounds. Her work with has helped promote awareness of native cultures and traditions in Canada. Independently, she launched the Community Fusion Project focusing on cross-cultural relationships through painting, film and a melding of performance arts practices. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
