Nicol? Borghi is co-founder of The HUB Milan, first italian center dedicated to the social innovation. The HUB is an international network of people and spaces that develop and sustain social entrepreneurship and innovation. Born in 2005 in London, The HUB has nowadays reached 28 center all over the world and more than 5.000 members.Lunched in March 2008, The HUB Milan represents the first italian chapter and, in this first year of activity, it has built a community with over 300 entrepreneurs and social innovators.Nicol? combines the passion for social innovation with a special attention to technology start-ups. After a travel in Silicon Valley in 2010 he co-founded Creonomy, a software start-up that aims in its mission to create application able to facilitate the on-line cooperation among web and graphic designers. During the 2010 Smau edition Creonomy has been awarded as best start-up in Lombardy (Italian region) by Google and Lombardy Region.Before diving into the start-ups' world, Nicol? studied at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, he also holds a Master in General Management and a BA in International Markets and New Technology both at the Universit? Commerciale L. Bocconi.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
