TEDxBoston - Caleb Neelon - Courting the Creative Class

I didn't have authorization to paint [this wall], but ... all the neighborhood ladies kept introducing me to their daughters! International public artist Caleb Neelon fills his talk with striking photos of his murals in cities around the world. Caleb argues that despite Boston's love of innovation and institutionalized art, local artists are leaving the city, not because they want to, but because Boston's blank walls don't inspire their creativity. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
