TEDxSinCity - Alex Allman - Sex, Marketing, and the Politics of Peace

Alex Allman is the creator of the best selling REVOLUTIONARY SEX programs for enhancing sexual pleasure, creating deeper intimacy and communication, and deepening sexual confidence for men and women. He has helped tens of thousands of men, women, and couples achieve greater confidence, intimacy, and passion in their sex lives. More recently, Allman has turned some of his ideas around communication between couples towards political discourse. The exercises in courage that are required for authentic communication and what he refers to as "profound getting-each-other-ness" are ways in which romantic couples find common ground, not through compromise (where everyone feels like they have lost or given something up), but rather through growing to higher levels of understanding, where agreements are obvious and both sides feel like they've experienced a win. Allman's current line of inquiry asks whether these same concepts can be modified and propagated through the use of internet marketing campaigns to install new ideas into global communities, and alter the course of events in conflict zones throughout the world. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
