TEDxCardiff - Kelly Page - Rediscovering Friendship - - - - Dr Kelly Page is an Australian who lives in Wales and is passionate about people, learning and digital media. A lecturer in Digital Media at Cardiff University (UK), Kelly moved to Wales in 2002 as a researcher and has been working in partnership with organisations in industry and academe exploring digital media learning, literacy and knowledge. In 2008 she started the research initiative, Case Insights, an initiative to develop insights through practice-led research and research-led learning about what, how and why we learn with and through digital media, and the skills 'we' need in an era dominated by ubiquitous digital media communications and conversations. Digital media have not just changed how individuals and organizations adopt and use digital channels, they have fundamentally changed the knowledge and skills we require to participate and engage with the communities within which we live, the conversations we are having and our own personal digital journeys. Kelly has a PhD in Web Knowledge from the UNSW (Sydney, Australia) and is co-author of Marketing, by Baines, Fill and Page, the UK's 2nd leading textbook in marketing principles. Her publications have appeared in Psychology & Marketing, Behavior & Information Technology, International Journal of Retailing & Distribution Management, Marketing Review, and Strategic Management and Journal of Marketing Management. In 2010, she received 'Best Paper Award in Interactive Marketing' at the 2010 Academy of Marketing (AM) Conference. Kelly is a visiting fellow in Digital Media at Cranfield School of Management (UK) and Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB) (France). @DrKellyPage
