TEDxSIT - Social Movement - From Ideas to Action

Social Movement considered the theme of TEDxSIT, and created a two-part dance piece that chronicles the process of idea conceptualization and its performance. This piece is dedicated to all idea makers and shakers around the world, young and old, black and white, and everything in between. Carl Russell is a Master of Arts candidate in Conflict Transformation at SIT Graduate Institute. His piano piece "SognoSostenuto" is the backdrop for this dance performance. Michael "Cabbie" Caban choreographed the piece to Carl's music. About TEDx, x = independently organized event: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
