TEDxMonterey - Beryl Levinger - Questioning: A Subversive Act

Beryl Levinger is the program chair and Distinguished professor of the Public Administration Program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Her academic focus is on the management of complex organizations, particularly those engaged in transformation and her areas of academic expertise related to this focus include program evaluation, governance, change management, strategic planning, and organizational capacity building. Beryl's TEDxMonterey talk focused on the power of asking questions to create a space for new insight, break through and innovation. This year's TEDxMonterey inspired and engaged the Monterey community with fascinating leaders, inventors, scientists, artists, community activists and global dreamers. With an all star line up of inspirational speakers the Monterey Institute of International Studies hosted the event on April 15th, 2011 and enjoyed participation from over 400 people both in person and online. The theme of this year's TEDxMonterey was Cultivating Innovation, which dazzled the audience through the themes of question, engage and transform. About TEDx, x = independently organized event??In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
