TEDxDuke - David Watson on What You Can You Do With Who You Are Right Now

DAVID WATSON David Watson is a sophomore at Duke University studying Conflict and Crisis Diplomacy under a proposed Program II course of study. David's studies focus primarily on Africa and the Middle East. Last summer, David and four other college students biked 3,600 miles across the United States for Falling Whistles, a campaign for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over fifty-five days, the group spoke to hundreds of people in dozens of cities across the country. David is also a research assistant in the Political Science Department as well as a member of the editorial board of the Duke Political Science Standard. About TEDx TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos -- sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
