A woman now fondly called Mommy Ched, Mercedes Gonzales-Pingad is a mother of 7 and grandmother of 7. Mommy Ched at 67 was an achiever at the Alternative Learning System, a special non-formal program of the Department of Education. She is now a sophomore at Laguna State Polytechnic University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Education. She dreams of becoming a teacher to encourage people who, like her, had their studies interrupted, achieve their own dreams. She shares a part of the story of her life highlighting on her experiences when she went back to school at the age of 65. She is an Alternative Learning System and Accreditation and Equivalency Test Passer for Secondary Level (High School Level) and is currently taking Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Education. She inspires the audience with her story and her wit.
