About the Speaker: Mehreen Kasana is an American Pakistani Media student based in Lahore. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Media and Political Science from Forman Christian College, Lahore. She enjoys writing humorously about society, politics, art and feminism. Her blog is replete with interesting doodles and amusing anecdotes of a life spent here and abroad. She blogs for Dawn and Express Tribune (as a satirist) whenever it's possible. Mehreen has been an American Presidential Debater and, later on, British Parliamentary Debater. She judges debates on provincial and national levels. She loves spending her time in the library. She think turtles are adorable. Her best friends are MS Paint and a talking parrot. About TEDx, x = independently organized event: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
