TEDxYouthGreaterNashville; Kyle McCollom; Creating an Impact Culture on College Campus

Kyle is a senior Ingram Scholar at Vanderbilt University who lives at the Dismas House, a halfway house for former offenders. Kyle founded Triple Thread Apparel, a screen-printing social enterprise that works to reduce recidivism rates by employing residents of the Dismas House. He recently received the Outstanding Commitment Award from the Clinton Global Initiative University and plans to scale Triple Thread after graduation.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called [email protected], where x = independently organized TED event. At our [email protected] event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
