TEDxGrandValley - Erik Nordman - West Michigan Wind Assessment

Dr. Erik Nordman is an assistant professor of Natural Resources Management in Grand Valley's Biology Department. His teaching and research interests include natural resource policy, economics, and spatial analysis. He has applied his expertise on projects related to renewable energy, open space preservation, and ecosystem services. A native New Yorker, Dr. Nordman earned a B.S. in Biology from the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Geneseo, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. He lives in Spring Lake with his wife, daughter, and son. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
