Dr. Nicole M. Kendall is currently an assistant professor at Tennessee State University in the Department of Teaching and Learning. In addition to being an online mentor, course developer, and instructor for the TN Regents Online Degree Program, she has served five years as an educator for Metro-Nashville Public Schools teaching elementary and middle grades. Her primary focus is training teachers and students on how to incorporate technology within the classroom.Riley Howard III is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Elite 3, a Nashville based organization that service youth to become productive citizen by promoting three Diamond Principles: Fitness, Enrichment, and Achievement. He is currently a Graduate Assistant at Tennessee State University in the Human Performance and Sport Sciences Department with responsibilities for research and development, business areas, and assisting with classroom lectures. He is also working hands on with the Tennessee Board of Regents technology task force in the areas of sports. Prior to holding the previous positions he was a Tennessee State University football player. After graduating form Tennessee State University in 2008 with a B.S. degree in Human Performance and Sport Sciences, Riley began pursuing a M.A.ED in Sport Administration. He has worked with various non-profit organizations around the city for over 7 years.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouthGreaterNashville], where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouthGreaterNashville event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
