Jessica is an Art Education facilitator, a curator and writer. She is founder of several international projects in Austria, Japan and UK that explore the central importance of creativity to engage, rather then being arbitary information gathering. In Vienna, she has been developing a variety of creative education projects in association with Michael Wimmer at EDUCULT in Museums Quartier. Amoung her projects have been the ACES (Association of Central and European Schools) an association funded by the Erste Foundation. With this she linked schools in Vienna with Budapest and Romania through creative exchanges. Other projects in Austria have been in association with ZOOM museum, University of Vienna, Berlitz, Kulturkontakt, Waldzell Institute, Interkulturelles Zentrum, Earth Charter and most recently, a music video with immigrants from Afganistan and West Africa at Schmiede.ca, Hallein sponsored by Land Salzburg. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxVienna, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxVienna event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
