SanHa Kim,Primatologist He studies on gibbons, long-armed apes. From 2007 to 2009, he spent most of his time in chasing gibbons at Indonesia. He picked one monkey from a group and watched it for two years on how it eats, excretes, etc. He observed and analyzed on how a gibbon is living its everyday life. It was quite an extraordinary experience to observe and to be in a life of an animal, instead of living a life of his own as a human being. His observations gave him a chance to look back on his life, and lives of all human beings. He came to understand how all living things are connected with each other and held together. He ran the research on gibbons in Japan, Germany, Indonesia, and now in Seoul, Korea. He is expanding his research area to include the earth, where we are living on. He is the author of 'Wisdom for the naive', 'STOP' series, and translated 'Unweaving the Rainbow' from Richard Dawkins. What is TEDx?
